COVID-19 UPDATE FROM BACON

To our workers:

As a valued contractor of Bacon, your health and well being, as well as the health of our business partners, are of the upmost importance to us. While there are still many questions about the CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19), which remain unanswered at this time, there are practical, prudent ways for you to take care of yourself, protect family and friends, and monitor latest virus developments.

Based on guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Bacon recommends that contractors adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Wash your hands often
  2. Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  4. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipes
  5. Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a face mask
  6. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
  7. Stay home when you are sick

Please do not arrive at a client location without being approved to attend a shift. A client may request that certain safety measures must be followed while on site. If you feel uncomfortable with client safety requests, please inform the Bacon team.

As a valued client and partner of BACON, we wanted to take this opportunity to apprise you of our efforts with respect to the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.

The safety and well-being of your company and your employees are paramount to us, as is the safety and well-being of our temporary workers. Therefore, we have advised our temporary workers about how to take care of themselves, protect others, and monitor the latest developments. 

Immediate actions we have taken

  • Workers on the Bacon platform have been informed to stay home if they show any symptoms of illness of any kind.
  • Workers on the platform will be reminded via messages or phone calls before shifts to avoid working if symptoms emerge.

We are also communicating to follow best practices per the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we have informed our workers that they should:

  • Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a face mask
  • Wash their hands often
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Stay home when they are sick
  • Cover their cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash

We trust that you are advising your employees similarly and that you will apply the same safety policies and procedures to BACON temporary workers that you apply to your own employees.

During this time of uncertainty, if you or someone near you is experiencing any symptoms of illness, or if you have concerns about your health, please notify the worker success team and we will remove you from shifts without penalty.
